During the Dutch Design Week Eindhoven Studio Thier&van Daalen temporarily opened the doors of their home and studio to the public, showing the design exhibition ‘The Young Collectors II’. I was asked to design the poster for this event. Next to the screenprinted posters I made a limited edition of prints.
The minimalist shapes in this series of posters and prints are based on architectural elements of the renovated 1960s house of Studio Thier&vanDaalen, built in the ‘Bossche School’ style. Characteristic for the print is printing the top layer slightly out of place. This way a typical ‘screen printing mistake’ becomes part of the print design, showing the beauty of the screen printing technique!
